     WCAA announces that elections for Directors of the following sport programs will take place on JUNE 15, 2008 at Wesley Chapel District Park.  Check back here for exact time and location.  The following are the nominees for the open sport director positions:

COWBOYS CHEERLEADING UPDATE

     Wesley Chapel Cowboys Cheerleading is now accepting new cheerleaders for the 2008 Season. 

   Our season begins in July and ends in December.  The cost for the season is $225 which includes competition fees and all necessary equipment including shoes. 

   We accept up to 35 participants per squad from ages 6 to 15. 

   In addition to online registration, we will be having registration and measurements up at the football fields at Wesley Chapel District Park on Saturday, May 24th, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Saturday, June 7th, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

  All Cowboys Cheerleaders must be measured for the 2008 Season.  Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate for our records. SPORT DIRECTOR ELECTIONS

March 25, 2008 --  Nominations are now being accepted for election to the following WCAA Sport Director positions:

          Baseball & Softball                                     Lacrosse

          Basketball                                                   Soccer

Eligible nominees must: 

- have six months experience as a volunteer in the relevant sport

- be a Participating Member of WCAA for at least one year

- pass a background check unless previously completed within last year

All nominations must be in writing and, if submitted by the nominee, shall clearly state the nominee's reasons for seeking election or re-election.  Written nominations must also include a description of the nominee's qualifications, incorporating all necessary personal information regarding the nominee including, but not limited to: full name, current address and telephone numbers, together with a brief resume of the nominee's activities related to the sports affiliated with WCAA and the names of at least two (2) persons in the community who will vouch for the nominee's character and standing in the community.

 2008 Flag Football

Registration 

for the WCAA 2008 Flag Football Season will open  APRIL 01, 2008 and run until June 01 2008 or until each division is filled

Take advantage of our early registration period from April 01 – May 15 2008 and register for $115.00

The Late registration period will be May 16 – June 01 2008 and will cost $145.00

Flag Football will have teams in the U7, U9, U11 & U14 age groups , Cheer will have Junior U7 & U9 teams

Volunteer coaches are needed and can complete a volunteer application found at www.wcaafla.org

Registration Includes:

an 8 game season followed up by play-offs, a practice T-shirt,  a game uniform,  and a trophy. 

Practices start in mid July and the season runs from August 16th to November 01st

Mandatory Player Evaluations for Flag Football

will be held on Saturday, June 21st and Saturday, June 28th from 10:00 - 12:00 & Wednesday June 25th from 6:00-8:00 @ Wesley Chapel District Park

 (located near the intersection of Boyette Road and Overpass Road) Players need only attend one of the evaluation sessions.

BUT MUST ATTEND ONE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR TEAM SELECTION AND PLACEMENT

To be a real STAR, come to Summer Camp June 14, 2007 (9:00 - 1:00) Learn the basic FUN-damentals so you'll be ready to shine!

Cost $25.00 (Includes a Flag Football Summer Camp T-Shirt)
